I just shipped a BLE CLI tool for Govee smart lights. No cloud, no internet, no account required. Reverse-engineered the BLE protocol from a USB Bluetooth dongle to give full control of power, color, brightness, temperature, and effects right from the terminal. It is one of the coolest projects I have worked on in a while. Just ordered some more light bulbs to continue testing and expanding the project.
Lately I've been setting up a homelab on one of my machines and it's been a fun rabbit hole. Right now I'm running a Minecraft server through Crafty, managing containers with Portainer, and using Dash. to keep track of everything. It's been a great way to test and deploy my own applications in a real environment without worrying about cloud costs or deployment configs. Definitely planning to keep building it out.
Just finished updating my resume with all the latest projects and experiences from the past year. Added some new technical details, reorganized things to better highlight what I've been working on, and made sure everything fits nicely on one page. It's a new year, a new semester. With that, lots of other people have Now pages on their sites so now is as good a time as any to put one together myself as well as a bit of a design overhaul! Anyways, as I keep updating this I hope that you'll enjoy it and get to know me a little better.
