Redesigned the SiteRedesigned the Site
The site has a new look. It's dark now, with a dot grid in the background, letters that scramble when you hover over them, and small green blocks flickering in the empty space. I cut it down to four pages: home, work, now, and resume. This page now keeps the albums, songs, and games I've been into, along with the next Knicks game and the weather in Rochester and Utica. The resume page has its own PDF reader instead of the browser's. I also moved hosting from Vercel to Cloudflare Workers along the way.

Just shipped v1 of Agentfish, a chess app where the players can be LLM agents. There is an MCP server attached, so an agent claims a seat and plays through the same rules a human click goes through. The fun part is pointing two models at each other and watching, or running one down a ladder of Stockfish opponents until you have a real Elo number for it. It ships as a Windows installer or a portable build, with Stockfish and the Python backend already inside so there is nothing to set up.

I just shipped a BLE CLI tool for Govee smart lights. No cloud, no internet, no account required. Reverse-engineered the BLE protocol from a USB Bluetooth dongle to give full control of power, color, brightness, temperature, and effects right from the terminal. It is one of the coolest projects I have worked on in a while. Just ordered some more light bulbs to continue testing and expanding the project.

Tinkering with a HomelabTinkering with a Homelab
Lately I've been setting up a homelab on one of my machines and it's been a fun rabbit hole. Right now I'm running a Minecraft server through Crafty, managing containers with Portainer, and using Dash. to keep track of everything. It's been a great way to test and deploy my own applications in a real environment without worrying about cloud costs or deployment configs. Definitely planning to keep building it out.

It's a new year, a new semester. With that, lots of other people have Now pages on their sites so now is as good a time as any to put one together myself as well as a bit of a design overhaul! Anyways, as I keep updating this I hope that you'll enjoy it and get to know me a little better.
